Shipping and Delivery Policy

How, when and where Pickit brings your crate of vegetables from the field to your door.

Last updated 6 September 2026

These are the operating policies for the delivery service as described on this site. They apply to every subscription plan and one-off order placed with Pickit Farm Fresh Private Limited through the Pickit app or website.

Where we deliver

Pickit currently delivers inside Bengaluru city limits only. Our routes are planned around our packhouse so that no crate spends longer than it has to in transit, which means we open new pincodes in clusters rather than one address at a time.

Enter your pincode on the subscribe page or in the app to confirm serviceability before you pay. The zones we serve today are:

  • Central and East — 560001, 560008, 560017, 560025, 560038, 560042, 560047, 560071
  • South-East — 560029, 560034, 560068, 560076, 560095, 560102, 560103
  • Outer Ring and Whitefield — 560016, 560037, 560043, 560048, 560066, 560087
  • North — 560003, 560024, 560032, 560045, 560064, 560077, 560080, 560092
  • West — 560010, 560021, 560055, 560072, 560079, 560086, 560091, 560098
  • South — 560004, 560011, 560019, 560026, 560028, 560041, 560050, 560061, 560069, 560070, 560078, 560082, 560085

Addresses outside these pincodes, including Bengaluru Rural, Hoskote, Nelamangala, Devanahalli and Anekal, are not serviceable yet. If your pincode is not on the list you can register interest in the app and we will notify you when the zone opens. Gated communities, office parks and campuses that require a pass at the gate are served only where the management allows delivery partners entry to the tower or floor.

Delivery windows and slots

Every serviceable address is mapped to a route with three standing slots. You choose your slot when you set up a plan and can change it for any future delivery from the app.

  • Early morning — 6:00 am to 9:00 am
  • Mid-morning — 9:00 am to 12:00 noon
  • Evening — 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm

The cut-off for any change is 8:00 pm on the day before delivery. That is the moment the harvest list is sent to our farmer partners, so a change requested after the cut-off can only be applied to the delivery after next. Slot availability varies by zone: some outer routes run a morning service only, and the app will show you what is actually available at your address.

You will receive a notification when your crate leaves the packhouse and a second one when the delivery partner is close, along with a live track link. Estimated arrival times inside a slot are indicative, not guaranteed.

The 16-hour promise

Pickit commits to putting your vegetables in your hands within 16 hours of harvest. Produce is cut in the field from around 4:00 am, reaches our packhouse by mid-morning, is ozone-washed, graded and crated the same day, and goes out on the next available slot.

The clock starts at the time of harvest recorded against your crate, which you can see for every item on the traceability screen in the app. If a crate is delivered outside the 16-hour window because of a failure on our side, tell us within 24 hours of delivery and we will credit the affected items to your Pickit wallet under the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

A small number of items are, by their nature, not same-day harvested: cured onions, garlic, ginger, potatoes and other stored staples are field-cured before sale and are labelled as such in the app. The 16-hour promise does not apply to those items.

Crate handover and collection

Vegetables travel in a reusable Pickit crate. There is no single-use plastic in the crate and nothing to throw away, which is the whole point of it.

  • Your first delivery arrives in a sealed crate with a tamper tag and a QR code. Scan the code to see the farm, the field and the harvest time behind each item.
  • Leave the empty crate out for your next delivery. Our partner swaps it for the full one at the door. One crate in, one crate out.
  • Please empty and rinse the crate. Crates returned with food waste, oil or non-food items in them are taken out of circulation for deep cleaning.
  • If you forget, our partner will leave the full crate and collect two on the following visit. Holding more than three uncollected crates pauses new deliveries until they are returned.
  • Crates remain the property of Pickit Farm Fresh Private Limited. A crate that is lost or damaged beyond reuse is charged at ₹250 to your account, waived once per subscriber per year.
  • When you cancel a plan, leave your crates out on your final delivery or arrange a pickup from the app within 14 days.

If nobody is home

Our delivery partner calls the phone number on the order when they arrive and waits up to five minutes. What happens next depends on the instruction saved on your address:

  • Safe drop enabled — the crate is left at the door, the gate or with your security desk exactly as your delivery note asks, and a photo of the handover is added to your order. Once a safe drop is completed the crate is your responsibility, and we cannot replace produce that spoils in the heat or goes missing after it has been left.
  • Safe drop disabled — the partner attempts one more delivery in the last slot of the same day where the route allows it. If that also fails, the crate returns to the packhouse.

Because everything in the crate is fresh produce, an undelivered crate cannot be held over to another day. A first failed attempt in a billing cycle is refunded in full to your Pickit wallet as a goodwill credit. Repeated failed attempts at the same address are billed as delivered, and we may ask you to switch to safe drop or change your slot before the plan continues.

Please keep your address, landmark, tower or flat number and phone number current in the app. A delivery that fails because of an incomplete or incorrect address is treated as delivered.

Delivery charges

  • Active subscription plans — delivery is free on every scheduled crate, in every zone, in every slot.
  • One-off orders and top-ups — free above the plan threshold of ₹499. Below that, a flat handling fee of ₹39 applies and is shown before you pay.
  • Off-route or off-slot delivery, where we can arrange one at all, carries a ₹79 fee.
  • Redelivery after a failed attempt caused by an incorrect address or an unreachable phone number carries a ₹49 fee.

All fees are inclusive of applicable taxes and are itemised on the invoice attached to every order in the app. We never add a fee at the door: the amount you see at checkout is the amount you pay.

Rescheduling, skips and pauses

Plans are meant to bend around your week. Everything below is self-service in the app under Manage plan, and all of it is free.

  • Skip a delivery — request it before 8:00 pm on the day before. The delivery is not billed and your plan end date moves out by one delivery.
  • Reschedule — move a delivery to any other serviceable day in the same week, subject to slot availability on that route.
  • Pause — hold a plan for up to 30 consecutive days, twice a year. Billing stops for the paused period and resumes on the date you choose.
  • Change slot or address — take effect from the next delivery after the cut-off. A new address must be inside a serviceable pincode.

Skips requested after the 8:00 pm cut-off cannot be honoured, because the produce has already been assigned to your crate at the farm. That delivery is billed and dispatched as scheduled.

Weather and force-majeure delays

Fresh produce moves through weather, traffic and the city as it is on the day. We will always tell you early, in the app and by SMS, when a delivery is running late or cannot go out at all.

Delivery timelines are suspended for events outside our reasonable control, including heavy rain and flooding, crop loss from unseasonal weather, road closures, city-wide traffic restrictions, strikes or bandhs, civil unrest, fire, epidemic or pandemic measures, failure of power or telecom networks, and any order or restriction imposed by a public authority.

If we cannot deliver on such a day, we will either deliver on the next available slot or credit the value of that delivery to your Pickit wallet, and your plan end date moves out accordingly. Where a specific crop fails, we substitute an item of equal or greater value from the same category and tell you what changed before dispatch.
